Biotechnology Industry Organization - BIO is the world's largest biotechnology organization, providing advocacy, business development and communications services for more than 1,200 members worldwide. Our mission is to be the champion of biotechnology and the advocate for our member organizations—both large and small. (BIO, supported by BIO members)

Build the Alliances, Processes and Tools to Develop Tomorrow's Energy Workforce - Formed in March 2006, the Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) is a non-profit consortium of electric natural gas and nuclear utilities and their associations - Edison Electric Institute, American Gas Association, Nuclear Energy Institute, and National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. CEWD was formed to help utilities work together to develop solutions to the coming workforce shortage in the utility industry. It is the first partnership between utilities, their associations, contractors and unions to focus on the need to build a skilled workforce pipeline that will meet future industry needs. HTEC Network - HTEC is a global network and partnership between learning institutions, Haas Automation, and Haas Factory Outlets. This partnership ensures that qualified learning institutes receive support to provide the highest quality CNC education. Haas Technical Education Centers leverage the capabilities and technologies of Haas Automation and partner with industry, schools, and professional societies to exchange best practices and exploit the power of modern manufacturing equipment for educational purposes. The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America - PhRMA's mission is winning advocacy for public policies that encourage the discovery of life-saving and life enhancing new medicines for patients by pharmaceutical/biotechnology research companies. Manufacturing Technology & Nanotechnology Centers:

Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilzation - The CNEU is dedicated to research, development, and education across all aspects of micro- and nanotechnology. The Center resources are focused on addressing the incorporation of nanotechnology into secondary education, into post-secondary education, and into industry applications. Florida Advanced Technological Education Center - FLATE will be Florida’s leading resource for education and training expertise, leadership, projects, and services to promote and support the workforce in the high performance production and manufacturing community. FLATE provides a manufacturing educational delivery system through technical programs, curriculum development, best practice demonstrations, student involvement and outreach activities necessary to meet the workforce capacity and high performance skill needs of the manufacturing sectors within its region. Minnesota Center for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence - The Minnesota Center for Engineering & Manufacturing Excellence leads and stimulates innovative collaboration among industry, education and allied organizations to equip Minnesota manufacturers with an educated workforce to compete worldwide. Established by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System in 2005, MNCEME leads and stimulates innovative collaboration among industry and education to equip Minnesota manufacturers with an educated workforce (MNCEME)


Professional Societies:

SME: Where Manufacturing Comes Together - The Society of Manufacturing Engineers is the world's leading professional society advancing manufacturing knowledge and influencing more than half a million manufacturing practitioners annually. SME promotes an increased awareness of manufacturing engineering and keeps manufacturing professionals up to date on leading trends and technologies.
